Michea Bryant is an award-winning producer-director-writer from PG County, Maryland. A graduate of The University of Southern California with her MFA in Film & TV Production, her directorial work garnered her entry into Ryan Murphy's Half Mentee Foundation Director Program, where she shadowed the creative forces behind Scream Queens & American Horror Story. She also interned for DeVon Franklin Entertainment at FOX. At USC, Michea produced a myriad of content including DANTE FALLS, a festival-winning supernatural thesis film currently screening across the country. A storyteller at heart, she’s very much a durable editor as well, having cut music videos, spec commercials, & a thesis.
Prior to USC, Michea earned her BA in Communication Mass Media & Journalism from La Salle University, where she was a member of the women’s basketball team as well as a broadcast intern for the Washington Football Team and Comcast Sportsnet. Michea is a USC Black Alumni Association Scholar, a member of the Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honor Society, and a Special Olympics volunteer. She’s also Vice President and Treasurer for The Mental Elephant, a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading mental health awareness & providing resources for young adults.
Currently, her short film, HEART EYES, a coming-of-age story starring a Black girl with Down syndrome, is airing on Magic Johnson’s Aspire TV network and is available for purchase via SproutFlix. Having just finished helming two short form pieces on Parkinson’s Community LA and editing a women’s basketball docuseries, Michea is now writing an intergalactic feature & a comic book. By day she’s worked as an associate producer on NFL Gameday Morning and in music production for Dancing With The Stars, The Masked Singer, So You Think You Can Dance, and many more.
